Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hi! My name is Kimberlee Herbic. I am so
excited to have the privilege to teach your
child this coming school year!
This school year I will be teaching for my tenth
year. I grew up with an intense passion to teach
young children. When I was three, I knew I
wanted to be a teacher. When most children
played Barbies, I taught school in my basement.
When most children would sleep in on Saturday
mornings, I was up at 7:00 am. taking attendance
of my stuffed animals ready to start my day of
school! Children have always been my focus and
always will. I attended Emporia State University
for my teacher training. I graduated with a
Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education
with a concentration in
Early Childhood. I have also completed six
credit hours of continuation courses
on top of my degree. My first teaching
assignment was in Cameron, Missouri teaching
Fifth Grade. My Fifth Grade students were
amazing; we made many wonderful memories! The
following year, I accepted my second teaching
assignment in Excelsior Springs, Missouri,
working with First Grade students. My second
year of teaching, confirmed my passion to teach,
nurture, and take care of young children! Since,
I have found myself indulging in the wonders of
Kindergarten. My students teach me so much! My
children teach me patience, joy, determination,
effort, and unconditional love. Kindergarteners
may be only but five or six years of age, but if
you take the time to see the world through their
eyes, you can learn so much! I assure each of
you that I teach with my heart and my mind. Our
children deserve to come first and they deserve
only but the best education! I will do my very
BEST to make sure our children have a great time
learning and experience success in their
learning adventure. When I am not working in the
classroom, I love to spend time with my family, run, bike, read, travel,
and drink coffee. My husband and I
have two daughters ages 8 and 10.
Being a mother has grown me in even
more ways outside of the classroom. Communication between parents and
the teacher is VERY important! I will do my best
to keep you as parents informed. I do ask that
you keep me informed of problems, concerns, or
situations affecting your child in return. If
for any reason you have any questions or concerns please feel more than welcome to
contact me here at school. If you would like to
talk to me in person, please jot me a note or
leave a message below and I
will get in quick contact with you to discuss a
convenient time to meet outisde of having
students. I am so excited to
begin a new school year with your child and you!
Sit back, buckle up, and have fun....this year
in Kindergarten!
Working together,

Mrs. Kimberlee Herbic
