Do You
Remember?
Do you
remember last fall
When I was only this tall?
But look at me now....
I am way up here!
I have learned a lot of stuff,
in fact they think I am really smart!
That is why I loved my early start.
And I thank you with all my heart! |
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
Zip-a-dee-ay,
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
Zip-a-dee-ay,
My, oh
my, summer's coming our way.
Plenty of
sunshine, swimming and play,
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
school's out today.

What We Did This Year
(tune: Beverly Hillbillies Theme Song)
Come and
listen to the story about what we did this
year,
We've
been working very hard and we think that it
is clear.
We've
learned a lot of stuff.
and we've made some real good friends.
We're
leaving Kindergarten
and our learnin' never ends!
First Grade, bigger
numbers, bigger words.

Adams’ Family Song
(tune: Adams’ Family)
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
Duh-duh-duh-duh,
Duh-duh-duh-duh,
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
We learned our ABC’s
And counting 1, 2, 3’s.
And now we know all these,
The kindergarten class.
And we learned how to share.
And we learned how to care.
Just ask us if you dare,
The kindergarten class.
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
Duh-duh-duh-duh,
Duh-duh-duh-duh,
Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click
It seems we’ve just begun
And now we’re almost done.
This year’s been so much fun!
The kindergarten class.

You're a
very special person,
And I wanted you to know,
How much I enjoyed being your teacher.
How fast the year did go!
Please come
back to visit me
As through the grades you grow,
Try hard to learn all that you can
There is so much to know!
The one
thing I tried to teach you
To last your whole life through,
Is to know that you are SPECIAL
There is no one else like you!
Love,
Mrs. Kimberlee

We make yearbooks for each student in the
classroom! Students get to autograph their yearbooks on
the last day of school!

We
autograph our field day shirts so we have our
friends names FOREVER!

We
make special thank you gifts for teachers who have
helped us to learn and do our best. We made a
personalized picture frame and book for Miss Susan
my assistant. We gave flowers to our counselor,
Speech Pathologist, and cook!

I make a class video (CD) for each student in the
class! This is a nice reminder through the years of
their experience in Kindergarten!

We celebrate the end of the year with a
countdown! We used a big balloon,
filled it full of confetti, hung a wind
socket to decorate the top of the balloon,
and used a pushpin to pop open the balloon
at the end of our celebration!

All
I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in
Kindergarten
by Robert Fulghum
Most of what I really need to know about how to
live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in
Kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the
graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox
at nursery school.
These are the
things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't
hit people. Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that
aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt
somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a
balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw
and paint and sing and dance and play and work some
every day.
Take a nap every
afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch for
traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of
wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup.
The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody
really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
Goldfish and
hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in
the plastic cup - they all die. So do we.
And then remember
the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you
learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK .
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.
The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation,
ecology and politics and sane living.
Think of what a
better world it would be if we all - the whole world
- had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every
afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a
nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and
other nations to always put things back where we
found them and clean up our own messes. And it is
still true, no matter how old you are, when you go
out into the world, it is best to hold hands and
stick together.

We
make graduation announcements to invite friends and
family to our special day!
We celebrate our graduation with a pizza and ice
cream party!
I raffle off our class books, posters, and
charts we made throughout the year!
We do a group hug to celebrate one terrific
year together!
